Privacy Policy

How HostKB Cloud collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and Service.

Last updated: 28 September 2026

1. Who we are

HostKB Cloud (“we”, “us”) operates the HostKB Cloud platform. For privacy questions, use the Contact page or the support email shown in the product.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data — name, email, password (stored hashed), organization membership.
  • Billing data — plan, usage metrics, invoices, and payment records we keep to bill you. We do not collect card details and do not use a payment processor.
  • Service data — applications, deployments, logs, environment variables/secrets you store, Git connection metadata, and support messages.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser/device info, and approximate usage analytics (for example page views when analytics is enabled).

3. How we use information

  • Provide, secure, and improve the Service
  • Authenticate users and prevent abuse
  • Bill for paid plans and enforce plan limits
  • Send transactional email (verification codes, password reset, important service notices)
  • Respond to support requests and legal obligations

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with infrastructure and service providers (cloud hosting, email, and analytics) under contracts that limit use to providing services for us; or when required by law or to protect the Service and users.

5. Retention

We retain account and billing records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, dispute, and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account via support; some records may be retained where required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your credentials and secrets.

7. Your choices

  • Update profile details in the product where available
  • Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion subject to legal limits
  • Unsubscribe from non-essential marketing email if we send any (transactional mail may continue)

8. International transfers

Infrastructure may process data in regions where we or our providers operate. By using the Service you understand that processing may occur outside your home country subject to applicable safeguards.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the revised version with an updated date. Material changes may also be communicated in-product or by email when appropriate.
